When to use an Agent

To secure an asset in a BlastShield™ network, you must use either an Agent or a Gateway. Typically you would use an Agent to protect a server running a modern OS and you would use a Gateway to protect legacy servers, OT and IoT devices. You can read more about this in the table below.

Windows, Linux or macOS host

Windows, Linux or macOS host running on bare metal or as a virtual machine in a hypervisor, or in as a virtual instance the cloud (such as AWS EC2). See below for the list of supported operating systems.

Use the BlastShield™ Agent

OT, IIoT device or legacy/unsupported server.

This can include IP Cameras, SCADA devices, industrial control systems with a TCP/IP interface.
